We are seeking an experienced SMP Supervisor to lead the construction, installation, and commissioning support for a major Dome Structure Project within the mining sector. This role is ideal for a technically strong leader who can coordinate multidisciplinary crews and ensure all structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

The Role

  • Ensure all works are completed strictly in accordance with approved drawings and material lists
  • Maintain full traceability of all works undertaken
  • Oversee construction and erection of SMP components for the dome structure
  • Supervise installation of Principal supplied structural, mechanical, and E&I equipment
  • Process material take offs and support procurement planning
  • Ensure all field inspection checklists are completed with client representatives
  • Manage labour relations and maintain a harmonious workplace
  • Coordinate site logistics, laydown areas, and material handling
  • Perform additional duties as required to support operational needs

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or relevant trade
  • White Card / Blue Card
  • C Class Driver’s Licence
  • EWP High Risk Licence
  • Working at Heights certification
  • Confined Space certification
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in SMP supervision or related discipline
  • Strong background in mining, construction, or heavy industry
  • Proven experience in project planning and resource management
