
Supervisor, Senior - Inventory

The New Porgera Limited now has a vacancy for Supervisor, Senior - Inventory with our Supply and Logistics section of the Supply and Business Services Department.
Reporting to the Superintendent - Supply: the incumbent applies and monitors systems and processes for the management of Inventory and stock control ensuring timely supply of goods and supplies required by the mine site.
The ideal candidate must have:
Recognised tertiary qualifications in purchasing or procurement are desirable, in addition to the key skills and experience required
Significant experience in purchasing roles involving international freight movement, including several years in leadership roles
Broad knowledge of PNG and international suppliers purchasing and delivery practices
Inventory management and cataloguing experience
General knowledge of the movement of dangerous goods by all modes of transport
High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Experience in the use of computerised materials management and inventory systems
Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, and Microsoft Office suite

Mobilization Requirement
This is a PNG National position, a Lae -based role on a rotation of 5 days on and 2 days off. Candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening (to be arranged only for successful candidates after the interview stage), and provide an up-to-date Police Clearance Certificate (acquired within the last 6 months). Candidates must be PNG Nationals and available to start immediately.
