Supervisor, Security Health and Safety
The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and enforcing Qualfon's physical security standards and operational security programs to ensure the safety and protection of employees, clients, visitors, assets, facilities, and information. The role leads the daily execution of site security operations, including CCTV monitoring and retention compliance, access control management, visitor and client management, work security compliance, and overall site security governance. The Security Supervisor ensures all security systems, procedures, and records comply with corporate, client, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Physical Security Standards Management
- Implement, maintain, and continuously improve Qualfon's physical security standards across all assigned facilities.
- Conduct regular security audits, inspections, and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure all security procedures align with client requirements, company policies, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate security documentation, incident reports, investigations, and compliance records.
- Lead site security readiness for client audits, certifications, and compliance reviews.
CCTV Management and Monitoring
- Ensure continuous operation and monitoring of all CCTV systems within the facility.
- Maintain CCTV recordings with a minimum retention period of ninety (90) days.
- Conduct routine inspections, functionality tests, and preventive maintenance of CCTV equipment.
- Coordinate with Facilities, IT, and vendors to resolve CCTV system issues promptly.
- Ensure CCTV coverage meets approved security standards and critical asset protection requirements.
- Secure and retrieve CCTV footage for investigations, incidents, audits, and client requests while maintaining confidentiality and chain-of-custody procedures.
Access Control Management
- Oversee all physical access control systems, card access systems, biometric devices, and entry/exit monitoring processes.
- Ensure employee access levels are appropriately assigned, reviewed, modified, and revoked in a timely manner.
- Conduct periodic access reviews and audits to validate authorization levels.
- Investigate unauthorized access attempts and security breaches.
- Coordinate with Human Resources, IT, and Operations regarding new hires, transfers, terminations, and access changes.
Access Log Management
- Ensure all access control logs are maintained and retained for a minimum of three hundred sixty-five (365) days.
- Verify integrity, accuracy, and availability of access records for investigations and compliance audits.
- Generate and submit access reports as required by management and clients.
- Maintain secure storage and controlled access to all security records and system logs.
Visitor and Client Management
- Manage and enforce visitor management procedures, including registration, identification, access authorization, and escort requirements.
- Ensure all visitors, contractors, vendors, and client representatives comply with site security protocols.
- Maintain complete visitor records and documentation.
- Provide professional security support during client visits, audits, and executive events.
- Coordinate with business units to ensure smooth and secure visitor experiences.
Work Security Compliance
- Monitor compliance with workplace security policies and procedures.
- Ensure implementation of clean desk, clear screen, and secure workspace practices when applicable.
- Conduct awareness activities and security briefings for employees and contractors.
- Identify and report security violations and policy non-compliance.
- Support investigations involving workplace security incidents and policy breaches.
Site Security Operations
- Supervise daily security operations and security personnel deployment.
- Monitor site entry and exit points to ensure compliance with security procedures.
- Respond to emergencies, security incidents, workplace violence threats, and other security-related events.
- Lead incident investigations and prepare comprehensive incident reports.
- Coordinate security response activities with management, emergency responders, and local authorities when necessary.
- Ensure readiness of security equipment and emergency response resources.
Leadership and Team Management
- Supervise, coach, and develop security officers and security personnel.
- Conduct regular performance monitoring, evaluations, and operational reviews.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance security team effectiveness.
- Manage scheduling, attendance, and workforce coverage to ensure uninterrupted security operations.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and customer service excellence.
Reporting and Compliance
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly security performance reports.
- Analyze security trends, incidents, and risks to recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, client security requirements, and applicable laws.
- Maintain all security records, audit evidence, and operational documentation.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Law Enforcement, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in physical security, corporate security, or security operations.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Experience managing CCTV systems, access control systems, and security compliance programs.
- Experience in BPO, contact center, corporate, or multi-tenant facilities is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong understanding of physical security principles and risk management.
- Knowledge of CCTV operations, access control systems, and visitor management systems.
- Experience in security investigations and incident management.
- Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and security management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
