Job Description

The Supply Chain Operations Supervisor oversees daily operational activities across inventory control, distribution/receiving, mail services, and linen services. This role ensures the right supplies and equipment are available, properly managed, and aligned with clinical and organizational needs. The supervisor partners closely with supply chain leadership, nursing leaders, and value analysis teams to support efficient, high-quality patient care.  
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, schedule, and support daily activities of supply chain operational staff
  • Lead, coach, and evaluate employee performance through ongoing feedback and annual reviews
  • Foster a collaborative, team-oriented work environment
  • Coordinate inventory needs with supply chain leadership, nursing, and value analysis teams
  • Support budgeting responsibilities for operational supply chain departments
  • Ensure effective staffing and scheduling across assigned departments
  • Collaborate with warehouse, sourcing/purchasing, and contracting teams
  • Assist in developing and tracking goals and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Serve as Supply Chain Administrator for the Pyxis inventory replenishment system
  • Oversee linen inventory and consignment programs
  • Apply Lean methodology in accordance with organizational policy
  • Perform additional duties as assigned   
Education:
  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field  
Experience:
  • 2–3 years of supervisory experience required
  • Supply chain experience preferred (healthcare strongly preferred)  
Skills & Knowledge:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of healthcare supplies and medical terminology
  • Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment  
Physical & Work Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry supplies as needed
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Work may involve exposure to healthcare-related environments and materials
