Primary Functions:

This position is responsible for managing the inside sales support team that includes working closely with customers, dealers, sales, production, materials, quality, and engineering functions to support and resolve sales issues.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide support for specifications in bid and proposal packages.
  • Assist with Spec data system.
  • Analyze orders for build detail and completeness.
  • Support the “Horton Factory Experience”
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships with Sales and Engineering Department.
  • Evaluate special requests into drawings to assure adherence to complete model concepts to assure maximum efficiency of complete company products.
  • Perform other duties as directed, to include special projects.
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements,
  • Meet the goals and objectives of the sales department as assigned by the Director of Sales.

Qualifications/Training:

  • Must be experienced in ambulance sales or specialty vehicles industry standards.
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance.
  • Communicate with dealer sales department to resolve operations issues including change orders and other customers’ inquiries.
  • Must be computer literate and able to effectively use Microsoft Office Business Suites as well as have a working knowledge of general order entry software.
  • Understanding and carrying out verbal and written directions.
  • Working independently in the absence of supervision.
  • Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships.
  • Understanding of the manufacturing processes and professional excellence systems.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, assembly drawing, schematics and other written or verbal instructions presented in English.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and self-starter type skills.
  • Have an understanding of the dealer/manufacturer relationship.
  • Must possess a current driver’s license (appropriate for driving an ambulance)

Education/Experience:

  • College degree preferred. Will consider education in business or related field, to include equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the specialty vehicle industry.
  • 2 years of ambulance manufacturing experience preferred.
