Job Description

The Supervisor-RN PACE develops, coordinates and maintains a smooth operation within Clinical and PACE Center Services. Oversees the care delivery for PACE Participants. Coordinates with Medical Staff, clinicians and PACE Center staff to assure clinical efficiency. Ensures PACE Center regulatory compliance and utilization effectiveness. Directs licensed and ancillary personnel in monitoring productivity while emphasizing quality and safety of the PACE Participant. Performs other duties as needed.

Education and Experience: Graduate from an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program required. Bachelors’ of Science in Nursing Degree preferred. Minium two years acute care or clinical care experience required. Minimum one year PACE RN experience preferred. Minimum one year of supervisory and/or management experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of DHCS and CMS PACE rules and regulations. Knowledge of the elderly population and providing safe-space and relate interpersonally with them. Understand verbal and non-verbal cues from patients. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English (and Spanish preferred) with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position; troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment. Work independently in the patient home environment. Relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate. Accept direction; perform basic math functions; manage multiple assignments effectively; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Distinguish colors and smells as necessary for patient care; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone; identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the work place/patient care; see adequately to read computer screens, medical records, and written documents necessary to position; discern temperature variances through touch.

Licensures and Certifications: Current and unrestricted RN license required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire. Current driver’s license and insurance to drive to multiple sites and patient homes.
