Supervisor Revenue Cycle Education & Performance Improvement

Direct liaison between educators and Revenue Cycle Education and Process Improvement management. Oversees and provides direction to Revenue Cycle Education and Process improvement team to ensure all aspects of education and that process improvement initiatives are happening timely, with full completeness and in a standardized format. This includes monitoring of educational integrity and all associated educational events, identifying, initiating and assisting with process improvement revenue cycle projects, assisting in education, as needed, monitoring and working WQs, and monitoring productivity and quality of team.

Job Duties

  • Provides direction and manages aspects of a team, including but not limited to performance and colleagues relation aspects. Including but not limited to hiring, firing, training, and providing other management responsibilities related to the ongoing department operations.
  • Serves a primary liaison between educators and RCE management team to ensure all initiatives and goals are being completed timely, efficiently and fully. Works closely with all levels of management to ensure training and system security are aligned.
  • Mentor, support and serve as a knowledge expert to team members and assists in providing constructive growth opportunities.
  • Maintains up to date working knowledge of insurances and revenue cycle processes.
  • Monitor, track and audit productivity of team and provides performance reviews of direct reporting team.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years operational knowledge in patient financial services, registration, training or healthcare industry insurance experience required.
  • Required to attend and pass DOE and LVHN Revenue Cycle Training within 6 months from the date of hire
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records, educational software, revenue cycle systems and use of a personal computer and related software applications.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, the ability to effectively manage and embrace change, effective decision-making and delegation of tasks.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work with frequent interruptions.
  • Working knowledge of insurance and revenue cycle processes.
  • Ability to manage the education phases of the revenue cycle initiatives.
  • Knowledge of workflow analysis, lean methodologies, and process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of operational workflows and healthcare industry.
  • Must work effectively in demanding and rapidly changing environments.
  • Flexible with technology and the ability to learn new software systems quickly (including remote training modules).
  • Pays high attention to details and level of learners involved.
  • Must remain current with the technologies identified for use in adult education.
  • EPIC Certification - Epic Systems within 1 Year


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years direct education/ training and presentation experience
  • Working knowledge of department/division function and work process is preferred.
  • Knowledge of educational systems and webpage build.
  • Working knowledge of current EMR.

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
