Job Description

The function of the position must achieve, in a shared manner with all areas of Rio de Janeiro Brazil, the ensure that the occupational health and safety management system is in accordance with the legal requirements, policies, procedures, and guidelines of the company assurance of the quality of products and processes to ensure customer satisfaction. Ensure that the occupational health and safety management system is in accordance with the legal requirements, policies, procedures, and guidelines of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation and monitoring of quality management systems, in accordance with the standards: ISO 9001:2015 / ISO 45001:2018/ISO:14001:2015.

  • Implementation of strategies to address safety and quality culture or to raise awareness of new guidelines.

  • Coordinate a program of random inspections to evaluate the quality of the processes.

  • Coordinate analysis to determine preventive actions to reduce defects or improve processes.

  • Issuance of reports/metrics of different indicators of the QRC´s

  • Lead interdepartmental groups Solving Problems related to KPI indicators

  • To assist in developing and implementing programs, procedures, systems, technologies, and standards.

  • Manage environmental, health, and safety activities through strong leadership, communication, motivation and direction of safety committee 

  • Conduct a rigorous incident investigation process focused on prevention, root cause analysis and injury prevention leading indicators 

  • Coordinate safety training for all employees in the areas of Safety Health & Environmental matters 

  • Lead root cause analysis to prevent quality problems derived from customer complaints.

  • Guarantee the implementation and monitoring Safety and Manufacturing Best Practices.

  • Control and update the calibration program of the plant's measuring instruments and equipment.

  • Lead interdepartmental groups Solving Problems related to KPI indicators

  • Coordinate training for plant personnel on issues of Safety and Quality and Continuous Improvement.

  • Generate interactions with suppliers to ensure proper receipt of materials at the sites.

  • Foster the culture of continuous improvement through the implementation of CI projects.

  • Provide feedback and technical support to internal and external areas on issues related to Safety and Quality.

  • Meet site goals according to the KPIs defined (Safety, COPQs, OTD, CARs, CSS, financial results).

  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and regulations by the team.

  • Ensure the relevant issuance of dimensional reports and all PNDs for the inspections carried out.

  • Keep the Cority updated with all information of Safety and Quality Registers to ensure the correct advance in the system.

  • Keep the Quality Quest updated with all the information of NCRs and ensure the closing of the report is correct.

  • Administration of the document system for the preparation of the dossier.

  • Generate the inspection plan to ensure the quality of the parts/equipment that arrive/leave the Site.

  • Generate photographic release reports of equipment in final assembly.

  • Validate the quality of the information in the documents delivered by the production department.

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Mechanical, Industrial Engineering

  • Solid knowledge in manufacturing processes

  • Knowledge of standards (ASME, ISO 9001, ISO:45001, ISO:14001, ASTM, API)

  • Black Belt Certificate and / or Execution of Lean-Six Sigma projects (Green Belt, Lean Practitioner, KAIZEN).

  • Safety Legals Requirements

  • Experience with development and implementation of PFMEA & Control Plan.

  • Work Team Management Experience in problem solving (8D, A3, DMAIC, 3x5Whys,Fishbone, C&E).

  • PMI project management

  • BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 3-5 years relevant experience
