Job Description

About the role:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations and projects for production

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, GMP, and HACCP requirements.
  • Supervise Change Over Coordinators, Shift Coordinators, and Operators.
  • Audit shift performance across molding, retail, CCC, and receiving areas, including startups and changeovers.
  • Investigate safety concerns and conduct regular site inspections.
  • Monitor and improve line performance based on daily speed standards.
  • Review finished products for quality, packaging, and code compliance.
  • Drive waste reduction, rework, and yield improvement initiatives.
  • Investigate customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of departmental equipment.
  • Maintain KPI tracking and visual management boards.
  • Identify training needs and ensure employee training and cross-training, including agency staff.
  • Evaluate employee performance, manage timecards, handle injury reports, and support hiring processes.

About you:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a food-manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum two (2) years of people leadership experience.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time on a concrete floor.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Long periods of computer usage; finger dexterity and hand movement for use of keyboard and mouse, repetitive motion.
  • Kneel, squat, bend, stoop; frequently.
  • Push/pull up to 50 lbs using assisted equipment.
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs, frequently.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Noise level can exceed .85 decibels
