Job Objective:
Collaborates with leadership to enhance customer relations using positive service and oriented interactions. Assists with JCAHO compliance and acts as resource to the Patient Transport services and Housekeeping team. Education:
Required: High school diploma, GED or higher level degree

Required: American Heart Association BLS

Required: Two (2) years of related work experience in healthcare, patient care, environmental services and/or supervising others in a service-related field Reports To: Manager or Director

Essential Responsibilities
1. Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
2. Supervises all assigned staff to include hiring, orienting, training, evaluating and coaching; escalates employee performance concerns to leadership and provides documentation for counseling and performance improvement plans (PIPs) as necessary.
3. Schedules days off, holidays, and vacations; ensures that facility’s needs are met in accordance with hours, position control and data entry.
4. Assigns personnel established work areas or project duties; plans and coordinates projects to ensure that proper transports are managed and tracked.
5. Ensures daily job duties are revised and current at all times; reviews job duties with regular and relief team members periodically.
6. Ensures that proper supply control guidelines are followed and staff is trained in the use of all chemicals, to properly clean and sanitize transport wheel chairs, Gurneys or patient room beds.
7. Proactively identifies and corrects housekeeping quality assurance concerns; timely follow up is required.
8. Provides and monitors individual guidance and motivation to enable each team member to perform to their fullest potential.
9. Keeps records and appropriate log books current and maintains all necessary documentation; monitors service binders in assigned areas on a daily basis taking appropriate action.
10. Participates in Housekeeping Quality Assurance Program when required.
11. Assigns equipment to staff; monitors daily equipment use, cleaning and maintenance.
12. Ensures that department owned equipment is clean and professional in appearance at all times.
13. Responds to concerns and requests with a sense of urgency and takes necessary corrective action including timely follow-up.
14. Participates in department safety program and maintains a safe work environment at all times.
15. Reports all unsafe equipment and activities appropriate manager/director.
16. Ensures the office, storage, and closets are clean, organized, maintained and professional in appearance at all times.
17. Performs other duties as assigned.
