Job Responsibilities

Champion a “Barletta Great” Culture

  • Know your team deeply—their roles, strengths, and proficiencies—to support their development into the best in the industry.
  • Listen proactively and address changes in processes and procedures with clarity and consistency.
  • Address issues, promote best practices, resolve conflicts, and report accidents or policy violations.
  • Influence a positive environment by holding yourself and others accountable to Barletta’s employment and conduct policies.
  • Complete all administrative functions related to hourly payroll.
  • Adhere to required training and development expectations.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews.
  • Complete coaching and corrective action documentation and develop plans that support performance improvement and growth.

Establish and Support a Culture of Safety

  • Make SAFETY A PRIORITY in every action and decision.
  • Hold yourself and others accountable to Barletta’s safety standards and processes.
  • Actively observe and identify opportunities to improve safety behaviors and production processes.
  • Ensure daily safety awareness through toolbox talks and other communication methods.
  • Elevate safety concerns and recommend solutions to Plant Managers or the Safety Manager.

Support Productivity & Quality

  • Maintain strong department knowledge—understand all production processes in your group and how your work impacts others.
  • Maintain organized work areas including offices, workstations, racks, carts, tools, tables, and floors, meeting Barletta’s housekeeping expectations.
  • Communicate daily productivity goals and updates proactively.
  • Review daily and weekly production schedules and develop plans to meet production targets.
  • Train and mentor your group to maximize knowledge, skills, abilities, and overall performance across Safety, Productivity, and Quality.

Leadership Behaviors

  • Be available and known as the first point of contact for obstacles or questions.
  • Demonstrate patience and understanding when training and mentoring team members.

Qualifications

  • Dependable with excellent attendance and reliability.

  • Clear and concise communication skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge to support administrative functions.
  • Availability to work additional hours (40+) and possible Saturdays.

Education & Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • 6–7 years of functional experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of management experience in the marine industry (supervisor experience preferred).
