Position Summary

The OSH Supervisor shall be responsible for establishing, implementing, monitoring and continuous development of occupational safety and health policies and programs that will create and maintain a safe workplace. This is to ensures the safety of everyone in Solaire including its employees, on-the-job trainees, contractors, tenants, suppliers, visitors, guest and other interested parties operating within the establishment or area of operation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• 
  Implement, monitor & continually develop the company’s OSH related programs and activities in accordance with government regulations/ legislations and international standards.
• 
  Facilitates the creation/revision of OSH related documents, dissemination of newly created/revised documents, releasing of hardcopies and retrieval of obsolete documents.
• 
  Facilitates bi-annual management review meetings, HSE Committee meetings and monthly contractor and tenants’ general safety assembly meetings.
• 
  Reviewing the contractor method statements, job hazard analysis/risk assessments, and other prescribe safety requirements prior to work permit approval.
• 
  Oversees contractor and tenant safety management program implementation and development.
• 
  Carrying out safety and health inspections and audits.
• 
  Spearheads accident/ incident investigation and ensuring all necessary controls are implemented to prevent recurrence.
• 
  Must be able to spearhead the conduct of Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment & Control (HIRAC) activity.
• 
  Facilitates or conduct safety trainings and orientations.
• 
  Ensures compliance with all regulatory reportorial requirements.
• 
  Develop and implement safety campaigns and promotions.

Note: Fire safety and emergency services job requirement and responsibilities are covered by a separate Department.

Requirements

• 
  Deep understanding of occupational safety regulations and standards.
• 
  Preferably with training, sound knowledge and exposure to any international standards such as but not limited to ISO 9001, ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001 or ISO 14001.
• 
  Ability to lead accident/ incident investigations.
• 
  Ability to conduct safety trainings and orientation.
• 
  Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
• 
  Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
• 
  Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• 
  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• 
  Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• 
  Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office such as but not limited to Word, Excel and Power point required; Microsoft Visio is a plus.
• 
  Degree in any field, with valid OSH Practitioner Accreditation from DOLE-OSHC.
• 
  Minimum of 3 years experience in establishing, implementing, monitoring and continuous development of occupational safety and health policies and programs.
• 
  With occupational safety and health management experience from a medium to high risk industry.
