Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To provide a professional approach to work concerning areas such as attitude, dependability, and appearance
• Ordering merchandise and ensuring that orders are with approved suppliers and approved by Manager
• Supervise staff to maintain the standards and daily operation of the department
• Provide information, assistance, and service to customers in a manner which will promote the sale of merchandise and meet the needs, requirements, and expectations of the consumer
• Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the department and supporting the training process of new hires

• Oversee the reception of merchandise and unload freight

• Adhere to site cleanliness standards

• Display high performance service standards

• To be familiar with and adhere to Prairie North Co-op policies and procedures
• Complete all opening and closing procedures, including accurate and timely cash‑up duties.
• Follow strict cash‑handling protocols, ensuring cash is always secured and never left unattended.

• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work with co-workers and public

• Must have the desire to learn and perform duties with minimum supervision after training period has been completed

• Energetic, upbeat nature

• Must be bondable

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
