Job Description

For our Equipment department in Area Benelux, we are looking for a Supervisor Maintenance & Repair (M&R) who combines technical knowledge with strong leadership and a continuous improvement mindset.

In this role, you will play an important part in ensuring that our container equipment is inspected, maintained and repaired according to Hapag-Lloyd standards and in a cost-efficient way.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the M&R team and act as the link between the team, the Senior Manager Equipment, internal departments and external partners.

• Coordinate and oversee the daily activities, priorities and workload of the M&R team.
• Lead, coach and support team members, providing input for performance and development discussions.
• Ensure inspections, repairs, estimates and claims are handled correctly and according to Hapag-Lloyd standards.
• Monitor repair costs, invoices and off-hire estimates, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and cost avoidance.
• Monitor the quality and performance of depots, terminals and other service providers.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, quality and transparency.
• Report on operational performance, repair costs and relevant issues.
• Work closely with internal departments and external partners, acting as the main escalation point for M&R-related matters.

• Technical knowledge of container Maintenance & Repair is highly preferred.
