Position: Supervisor, Metrology
Location: Whitesboro, New York- ONSITE 5 days a week.

• As a member of staff, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
• Travel (approximately 0%) domestic and/or international.
• *Divides and prioritizes departmental duties between metrology technicians.
• Calibrate and maintain assigned laboratory equipment in laboratories.
• Schedule and implement any required external calibration with an approved vendor.
• Acts as an escort for approved vendor performing maintenance and/or calibration.
• Maintain the calibration schedule and equipment lists.
• Monitor, calibrate and maintain assigned equipment (e.g., freezers, refrigerators, pipettes, balances, water system, thermometers, weights, ovens, temperature and humidity monitors, REES Environmental System).
• *Reviews calibration notebooks per associated SOPs/procedures.
• *Authorship and review of metrology-related SOPs for accuracy and completeness.
• *Train metrology staff and other staff on all metrology-related SOPs/procedures.
• *Coordinates and communicates with management to address quality control questions or discrepancies.
• *May maintain documentation of Operator certification.
• *Participate in client or regulatory audits with the Quality Assurance department.
• *On call for REES Environmental system.
• *Manages the “on call” schedule to ensure coverage in the event of a call out after business hours.
