The Role

We are seeking an experienced Supervisor to join our team in Karratha. In this role you will be responsible for managing resources, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will supervise tradespersons, trade assistants, and apprentices, providing both technical and leadership support. The position requires balancing hands-on hydraulic expertise with workforce planning, customer engagement, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality systems..

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage labour and equipment to achieve optimal utilisation and efficiency
  • Supervise and monitor work progress to ensure quality outcomes and timely completion in the Karratha workshop and on shutdowns at the various ports nearby.
  • Provide technical hydraulic support, including installation, removal, and live testing of equipment
  • Scope, plan, and allocate resources for site jobs in collaboration with the various Project Managers and the workshop team.
  • Oversee and complete customer preventative maintenance documentation and service reports
  • Contribute to quotes, bids, and tenders through accurate scoping support
  • Build strong client relationships through professional communication and service delivery
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with company safety, quality, and environmental standards

Qualifications & Experience

  • Trade qualified (preferably Mechanical) with 5+ years’ experience in a trade or supervisory role.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams within engineering, hydraulics, or related industries.
  • Strong technical knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and general engineering, with workshop experience supporting mining, maritime, or similar sectors.
  • Sound understanding of OH&S, environmental and EEO requirements, with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills, with the ability to balance hands-on technical work with resource and workforce planning.
