Expected salary range of $127,800 to $142,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose of Position

Supervise multi-craft workers in the operation, maintenance and repair of power generation equipment and controls. Provide direction, technical expertise and supervision to department associates and project teams. Responsibilities shall include plan and schedule control, risk analysis, cost control, safety assurance, repair and testing of generation equipment. Supervise contract labor and outside contractors to support outages, projects, or to supplement department workforce. All activities must ensure safety, as well as environmental compliance, cost effective repairs and reliable and efficient unit operation in support of the Company's goals and objectives. Within the duties is the responsibility to adhere to the Company's business and ethical standards and assure compliance with all applicable government and industry regulations and practices. Responsible for daily supervision, monitoring and coaching of employees to ensure a productive workforce in compliance with company policies and procedures and collective bargaining agreements, as applicable.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

• Supervise, plan and safely direct the operations, maintenance, technical and environmental activities of the department. Maintain effective communications with work teams and plant management. Travel throughout the Power network, work on-call assignments, shiftwork and weekend duty as required to meet generation demands.
• Manage and supervise associates and provide leadership by training, appraising, coaching, counseling, rewarding and developing associates.
• Manage resources and work within established budgets using plan, schedule and project control methods, and project development.
• Understand, support, communicate and administer company policies, practices and procedures to meet management's expectations of effective internal business controls utilizing excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal
• Ensure all activities are planned and executed safely, efficiently, in accordance with procedures, codes, and regulations, with a high regard for customer satisfaction.
• Assume responsibility for safety and wellbeing of employees by maintaining a safe work environment and enforcing established safety rules and regulations.
• Support the development and implementation of goals and objectives to meet the station and Generation mission.
• All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Department duty coverage and/or call out, and positions outside of department in support of outage activities etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline with 5 years power plant maintenance experience OR
• Associate's degree in engineering or technical discipline with 7 years power plant maintenance experience OR
• High school diploma/GED with 9 years power plant maintenance experience
• Maintain minimum access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Asset Suite 9 (AS9) or SAP work management system
• Experience with generators, boilers/heat exchangers, motors and gas/steam turbines, Motor Operated Valves (MOV)and Air Operated Valves(AOV)
• 5-years military engineering, operations, or maintenance experience
• First class qualified
• Supervisory experience
