Prime Responsibilities and Major Factors in Evaluating Performance:
1. Plan, organize, and direct operation of all activities within the maintenance department.
2. Schedule the work activities of the Maintenance Department to minimize equipment downtime.
3. Maintain all modules within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to effectively manage the maintenance and facilities team, e.g., PMs, emergency work orders, spare parts, and all associated tables with CMMS to support these functions, etc.
4. Initiate and implement as assigned - capital projects to meet established budgets and schedules.
5. Responsible for hourly performance reviews and weekly attendance
6. Maintain a training and development program within the maintenance department
7. Responsible for maintaining life safety systems

Additional Responsibilities:
1. Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures, including observation of the highest ethical standards in work related situations
2. Ensure that outside contractors are held responsible for the entire scope of their work. This would include but not limited to project completion and reference documentation (i.e., manuals, schematics, recommended PMs, etc.).
3. Oversee the coordination of building space plans, manufacturing equipment layouts, and machine installations.
4. Responsible for plant compliance with local and state environmental, health, and safety standards.
5. Manage project budgets and schedules
6. Team management skills
7. Provide time and input for Safety, Kaizen, 6S, and TPM
8. Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 - 7 years’ experience in maintenance, facilities, or project management.
2. Group lead or previous supervisory experience.
3. Proven communication skills with other departments.
4. Working experience with troubleshooting electrical systems, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic systems.
5. Thorough experience with vacuum systems and the ability to use, and train individuals on how to use, a leak detector.
6. Experience using PLCs as troubleshooting tools.
7. Basic understanding of Machining, Fabrication, and Welding experience.
8. Computer experience with MS Office applications, E-maint.
9. Ability to travel.
