Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Supervisor – LV & Ancillary Maintenance to join our dynamic and influential team. Reporting to the Senior Supervisor – LV & Ancillary Maintenance, you will lead the Light Vehicle and Ancillary workshop and be accountable for safe and reliable execution of maintenance tasks.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Manage planned and reactive maintenance of light vehicles and support equipment which includes:
  • Service trucks
  • Pumps
  • Generators
  • Trailers
  • Prioritise and monitor breakdown repairs.
  • Provide updates on equipment availability to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with contractors and ensure work is done in a timely manner and to standard.
  • Support long-term planning and schedule improvement efforts.

About the Candidate

The successful candidate will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

  • Completion of a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent trade qualification
  • A valid driver’s licence
  • Strong technical background in maintaining mining-spec light vehicles (such as Toyota Hilux/Land Cruiser fleets)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience within a mining or heavy industrial environment.
  • Proficient in maintenance systems, including SAP
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including supervising, mentoring and coordinating maintenance teams.

This role is a wonderful opportunity for you no matter your circumstance. You will have the option to either live locally in one of the communities that surround our operation or stay on site in our amazing village. We are only a one and quarter hour drive from the beautiful Mackay hinterland and a two- and half-hour drive from Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Islands and have a diverse group of people at our operation commuting from multiple locations in Queensland such as Rockhampton and Townsville, to name a few. Commercial Flight Support is available per written request for senior staff members and above, for flights from Mackay (MKY) to Brisbane (BNE) return.
