40The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for ensuring departmental efficiencies in a safe working environment and that orders to the customers are filled and delivered as accurately and efficiently as possible while being aware of needs and conditions of additional departments to assist in planning laundry productivity to provide the highest possible level of service. Demonstrates ongoing growth and development of self through active self-reflection, personal competency development strategies, and role modeling the “Grow myself, grow my team, and grow Monument Health (G3) Leadership Competencies” to promote our Monument Health vision and mission.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepares work schedules for production employees in assigned department(s).
  • Provides daily work assignments.
  • Monitors and insures productivity records are posted; counsels, coaches, and provides corrective action for employees as necessary.
  • Monitors and reports/records daily fill rates.
  • Ensures a safe work environment for employees.
  • Informs Manager or Leadership of any problematic situations related to laundry operations.
  • Provides direct supervision to Laundry departments and plant employees as assigned.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements

Required:

Education - High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies

Experience - 1+ years Laundry Operations Experience

Preferred:

Education - Associates Degree in a related field

Experience - 1+ years Supervisory Experience

Scheduling Requirements: Requires the ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department.

Physical Requirements: Heavy work - exerting up to 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or up to 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or up to 100 pounds of force occasionally (up to 33% of the time), and or up to 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, or tissues.
