Supervisor Individual Life & Pension

As a Supervisor, you are responsible for leading and coordinating a team to ensure that daily operations are executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. In this role, you provide direction, guidance, and support to your team, ensuring high performance, quality service delivery, and continuous improvement. You collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to achieve operational objectives and maintain strong working relationships.

In this role, you work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, play an active role in developing team members, handle complex cases, and contribute strategic insights to improve processes, optimize resources, and strengthen overall organizational performance.

What will you do?

• Translate the department’s business plan into an annual plan for your team and ensure its approval and implementation.
• Coordinate and supervise team activities in line with company policies and procedures.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve work processes, systems, and techniques.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
• Proactively identify business opportunities and support new initiatives that contribute to growth and innovation.
• Lead, coach, and develop your team to achieve high performance and continuous growth.
• Manage staffing, workforce planning, and talent development within the team.
• Monitor team performance and KPIs, taking action where necessary to meet objectives.
• Share insights and reports with management to support data-driven decision-making.
• Foster open communication and alignment within the department regarding goals and expectations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure continuity of business operations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the continuity and success of business operations.

What makes you the right fit?

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in insurance operations, policy administration, or financial services. Preferably in a supervisory or coordinating role.
• Strong understanding of administrative, compliance, and reporting processes within a regulated environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team while fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in computer systems and applications, ideally including Ingenium (Compass) or similar platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Dutch are required, while knowledge of Papiamento and Spanish will be considered an advantage.
• A proactive and responsible professional mindset with a focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to compliance and ethical standards.
