Seasonal Part-Time Licensed Childcare Site Supervisor – Summer Camp - working March - mid August

The YMCA is seeking an experienced, licensed Summer Camp Site Supervisor to lead our school-age day camp program. This seasonal leadership role is perfect for someone who thrives in high-energy environments and believes summer should be safe, enriching, and unforgettable for every child.

- Lead daily operations of a licensed school-age summer camp site
- Ensure compliance with Colorado childcare licensing regulations
- Supervise, coach, and schedule camp counselors
- Maintain required documentation and safety standards

- Foster an inclusive environment where every camper belongs

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Regional School Age Program Director, the Supervisor, OST is responsible for the daily program operations including, program development and implementation, staff supervision, facility usage and parent relations. The incumbent will also exhibit the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all aspects of their work with the YMCA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Implement risk management to provide safety and well-being of all children
- Integrate YMCA character development program into daily programming
- Support parental communications and staff with appropriate interactions with children, including discipline procedures
- Proactively clean and/or repair program areas; maintain supplies and equipment
- Attend all training courses, staff meetings and in-services without exception
- Support pre-camp staff training program and on-going in-service training for camp and OST staff
- Be familiar with the mission statement and core values of the YMCA. Model the core values while working and communicating with other staff members
- Be knowledgeable and supportive of the YMCA Annual Support Campaign, and general procedures and policies, including personnel guidelines, facility access procedures, membership policies, and emergency plans

- Frequently required to sit, reach and must be able to move around the work environment
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and focus
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high

Qualifications & BenefitsQUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of relevant experience preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency
- Possess a positive and professional attitude
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.  If not certified must achieve with 30 days of hire
