Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

1. To coordinate the implementation & review of Procedures, Project Instructions, Risk Assessments & JSEA’s in order to maintain HSE standards & good practices on site.
2. To assist in HSE training & awareness promotion programs in order to ensure employees & sub/contractors are aware of & practice HSE requirements in the work place.
3. To coordinate & assist in inspection & hazard identification & reporting programs in the workplace & follow up on appropriate preventative & corrective actions in order to ensure a healthy, safe & environmentally sensitive working environment.
4. To coordinate & assist HSE Superintendent & Project Manager/s with the compilation of HSE Data & applicable reports in order to ensure company & Client HSE record keeping & reporting requirements implemented.
5. To coordinate & monitor safety tools (E.g. fire extinguisher, hydrant etc) in order to ensure it inspected and registered
6. To conduct HSE meetings in the work place in order to ensure that environmental policies and safety procedures are followed in the day-to-day tasks of all employees.
7. To report, investigate & communicate any accidents/incidents at work site & in order to effectively identify root causes, reduce incident rates & prevent recurrence.
8. To maintain good relationships with local authorities& officials in order to ensure successful passing of HSE inspections by local authorities on site, and to address any HSE inspection concerns in a timely manner.
9. To attend courses & read publications in order to ensure continued improvement of HSE Management Systems.
10. To maintain HSE communication in order to ensure that the working environmental is safer and the safety culture of employee is higher.

Requirements:

• Diploma qualification in any relevant field
• Registered as a Safety and Health Officer with Governmental Bodies.
• 7++ years' experience in HSE area
• 2++ years as HSE Supervisor
• Basic skills on MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS-Project
• Intermediate knowledge of HSE legislation as well as OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 requirements
• Industry Best Practice
• Intermediate knowledge of OHS & E
• Experience in a HSE related role in similar industry.
• Familiar with HSE Management Systems & their implementation at an operational level.
• Experience in conducting HSE related training.
• Experience in performing audits & inspections
• Experience in Incident investigation & reporting processes.
• Experience in emergency response team & waste material managing system
• Experience in operate light vehicle
