About the Job:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Restaurant Supervisor to join the F&B team in Jumeirah Olhahali Island

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Team Leadership & Service Excellence

  • Oversee and manage a team of waiters, hosts/hostesses, and restaurant captains, ensuring consistently high levels of service in line with luxury resort standards.

  • Provide continuous training to team members on fine-dining service, menu knowledge, upselling techniques, allergen awareness, and health & safety procedures.

  • Foster a positive and motivating work environment where team members feel supported, engaged, and committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

  • Guest Experience & Service Quality

  • Ensure every guest enjoys a memorable, personalized dining experience. Regularly engage with guests to understand their preferences and provide tailored recommendations on food and beverage selections.

  • Address guest concerns or complaints promptly, professionally, and empathetically, ensuring full satisfaction and immediate service recovery when required.

  • Restaurant Operations Management

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring the dining area is clean, well-organized, and elegantly presented at all times.

  • Supervise mise-en-place, table setup, and service readiness for regular operations, special events, and themed dining nights.

  • Monitor inventory levels of restaurant supplies, including tableware, linen, condiments, and service equipment, ensuring everything is adequately stocked.

  • Menu Coordination & Culinary Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu updates, special dishes, tasting menus, and seasonal offerings that reflect the resort’s luxury identity.

  • Suggest food and beverage pairings to enhance the dining experience, including wine recommendations and specialty dishes for themed evenings.

  • Compliance, Hygiene & Safety

  • Ensure all team members adhere to responsible service practices, including monitoring guest wellbeing and preventing overindulgence.

  • Guarantee full compliance with all local and international food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and HACCP guidelines.

  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness in the restaurant and ensure proper handling of food, beverages, and service equipment.

  • Financial Management & Performance Monitoring

  • Assist in preparing and managing the restaurant’s budget, controlling costs related to food, staffing, and operational expenses without compromising quality.

  • Track daily revenue, analyze trends, and adjust operational strategies to support optimal financial performance.

  • Implement pricing strategies aligned with the resort’s luxury positioning while maintaining profitability.

  • Event Coordination & Promotions

  • Organize themed dining nights, culinary events, and promotional experiences that elevate guest engagement and showcase the resort’s uniqueness.

  • Sustainability & Best Practices

  • Promote eco-friendly practices such as minimizing waste, responsible sourcing, and reducing single-use materials.

  • Support initiatives that feature local and organic ingredients, enhancing the resort’s sustainability mission.

  • Reporting & Interdepartmental Collaboration

  • Provide regular reports on restaurant performance, guest satisfaction, and operational challenges to senior management.

  • Collaborate closely with management, kitchen teams, housekeeping, and events coordinators to ensure seamless operations and outstanding guest satisfaction.

  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated with global dining trends, service techniques, and hospitality innovations.

  • Introduce new service concepts, dining experiences, or enhancements that align with the resort’s luxury brand and keep the restaurant fresh and appealing.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • 2 years of relevant experience in hospitality or related industries
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in English
  • Leadership and team management skills.
