Job Description

Manager – Field Service (Projects) Experience

  • 10–12 years of experience in HVAC piping design, chilled water systems, plumbing, fire line systems, and HVAC controls
  • Strong experience in managing large-scale data centre cooling projects and multidisciplinary teams
  • Lead end-to-end delivery, strategy, and execution of liquid cooling projects for data centres, ensuring quality, cost, timeline, and customer satisfaction

Key Responsibilities Project Delivery & Leadership

  • Lead multiple liquid cooling projects from concept to commissioning across locations
  • Drive project planning, resource allocation, and execution strategy
  • Manage cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Vendors)
  • Ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and contractual deliverables
  • Interface with customers for technical discussions, escalations, and project updates

Design & Technical Governance

  • Provide technical leadership in design of chilled water piping systems, including sizing, layout, and material selection
  • Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, and drawings
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASHRAE, ASME) and best practices
  • Drive design optimization for performance, cost, and efficiency

Testing, Quality & Compliance

  • Define validation strategy and oversee system performance testing
  • Ensure quality control, safety compliance, and audit readiness
  • Drive continuous improvement through performance analysis and lessons learned

Service & Operations Management

  • Oversee preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and field issue resolution across projects
  • Ensure SLA adherence and effective escalation management
  • Drive implementation of service bulletins and reliability improvements
  • Monitor system performance and operational efficiency

Team Management & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams across projects
  • Drive capability building, training, and performance management
  • Ensure effective coordination between site, design, and support teams

Business & Stakeholder Management

  • Support business growth through client engagement and project delivery excellence
  • Manage vendor coordination, cost control, and commercial alignment
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term relationship management

Preferred Criteria

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASHRAE, ASME)
  • Expertise in tools: AutoCAD, Revit, CAESAR II, BIM platforms
  • Experience in data centre cooling / liquid cooling systems (CDU/XDU preferred)
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale project delivery
