Reporting to the IHT HVAC Manager, the prime responsibility of the Supervisor, Field Operations is to ensure high-quality customer experience, conduct physical inspections of jobs to ensure quality and safety, and supervising day-to-day operations. This role will assist the Field Service Manager in setting and monitoring performance goals, safety, and regulatory compliance for their direct reports of technicians and plumbers to ensure they are delivering best-in-class quality 100% of the time.


This role is based in Naperville, IL office. A regular in-office hybrid model (generally Mon - Thu in office, Fri remote) is required, as our office environment is a key driver of our company culture and employee experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Inspecting HVAC and plumbing jobs, including installation for quality, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Partner with service manager and safety manager to ensure line of business policies are being followed in the field.
  • Responsible for creating a structure and process that includes job site visits to inspect S&R; maintenance and installation of equipment for quality; potential hazards; cleanliness; ensure customers receive copy of work order, permits, and new furnace stickers to track maintenance and repairs.
  • Take photos and document findings with action plan of any follow up activities and report up to management.

Experience and Qualifications of the Role

  • Required: 5+ years HVAC installation and field experience.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills to be able to lead direct reports in a positive, effective way that results in engaged employees and high-quality performance.
  • Comfortable with technology, including software and report-writing knowledge.

Computer Skills Needed to Perform the Job  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suites.
  • iPad use.

Education

  • High School diploma/GED required and HVAC certification OR Vocational/skill training experience in HVAC in lieu of certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) required.

We offer a compelling total rewards package that includes a competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits to support your total wellbeing.  The base pay range for this position is $68,595 - $103,400 USD per year. The specific pay offered will depend on qualifications, experience, education and skill set. The compensation offered may also include an annual performance-based bonus, sales incentive plan or commission target.
