Job Description

Responsible for managing day-to-day operations, including leading the facilities team and direct oversight of staff and vendors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:

  • TEAM AND OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT: Train and mentor facilities staff. Manage scheduling for facilities maintenance, repairs and cleaning to ensure smooth daily operations. Serve as point of contact for the team, addressing concerns and conflicts. Manage operational planning requirements, such as, temperature control, lighting, equipment replacement, etc. Determine life cycle costs and monitor occupant satisfaction.
  • HEALTH, SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE: Ensure the facility is compliant with all relevant licensing and insurance regulations. Perform regular walkthroughs to identify and address safety hazards and maintenance needs. Respond to and manage emergency and building maintenance situations.
  • MAINTENANCE AND PROJECTS: Oversee all maintenance and repair activities, both routine and emergency. Manage external contractors and vendors, including reviewing contracts and ensuring work is completed correctly.
  • ADMINISTRATION AND COMMUNICATION: Keep accurate asset register for all equipment and systems. Track expenses. Handle administrative tasks, such as maintaining building statistics and submitting reports. Support projects like office relocations, furniture assembly and minor renovations. Respond to employee concerns in a timely manner.
  • ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP & SUSTAINABILITY: Manage and safeguard the natural environment. Manage Kubota’s commitment to sustainability of the natural and built environment. Asset management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • 2-year degree with concentration in the area of facilities, occupational safety or related areas or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience preferred.
  • 2 years of facilities experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and other health/safety regulatory agencies.
  • Basic maintenance skills.
  • Skilled in the use of computers including the Windows operating system and typical programs such as Word, Excel, and Internet-based applications.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), ability to interact with management and a wide spectrum of individuals. Adept at public speaking.
  • Must have a positive attitude, welcome collaboration, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Must have the ability to explain and present recommendations based on well-researched information. Must possess above average Power Point skills.
  • Must be available to work outside of regular business hours to include weekends and holidays.
  • Should be able to use critical thinking to solve problems.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, to permit the employee to function in a general office environment and accomplish tasks and duties as outlined above.
