About the Role
As a Supervisor, External Transcription Resources, you’ll oversee the performance of the Digital Transcription Coordinator team and ensure efficient collaboration with external transcription providers. You’ll focus on optimizing workflows, enhancing communication, and maintaining high-quality transcription standards while supporting both internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Train, mentor, and support the development of Digital Transcription Coordinators (DTCs)
Monitor adherence to company policies, procedures, and transcription processes
Oversee daily allocation of transcription jobs to external service providers
Review completed transcription assignments and route to Quality Assurance Transcriptionists
Track and document Digital Reporter performance issues and provide feedback
Collaborate with Area Digital Reporter Managers and Supervisors as needed
Build and maintain strong relationships with external transcription vendors
Respond to inquiries from vendors and support coordinators with assignment-related needs
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of Digital Transcription Coordinators
Conduct performance reviews, including 30-60-90 day evaluations, and partner with HR on performance management
Step in to perform Digital Transcription Coordinator duties when needed
What You’ll Need
Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindset
Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn internal systems
Experience: Experience in the legal services industry preferred
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or degree preferred
Work Style: Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, responsive, and a strong team player
