The EVS Supervisor is responsible for the day to operations of the EVS department and is directly responsible for managing all EVS staff including; EVS Workers, EVS Project/ Floor Specialists, and EVS Work Leaders.
The EVS Supervisors are responsible for all human resource activities for the staff that directly reports to them including all recruiting, disciplinary functions, as well as all scheduling of the EVS staff. They are also report directly to the EVS Operations Manager.
Position Responsibilities:
• Scheduling of staff and distribution of work assignments, including ensuring all assigned work is completed per hospital, infection prevention, and departmental policy.
• Also responds to internal and external customer requests and handles complaints in accordance to hospital and departmental standards in order to ensure every experience is outstanding.
• Ensures that all waste is handled, disposed and transported in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Assist housekeeping staff with daily responsibilities as needed.
• Act as a first responder in all emergency situations; and represents the department in lieu of EVS Operations Manager when directed.
• Maintain equipment and supplies within parameters of departmental budgetary guidelines.
Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:
3 years related supervisory experience in a healthcare related setting preferred.
Required Education:
HS diploma or equivalent.
Training/Certifications/Licensure:
ASHES certification preferred.
Hourly Rate: $21.85 - $32.83
