Job Description
The Supervisor Entertainment & Events – Props is responsible for the hands-on maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of all show props, show vehicles, and associated technical elements across Six Flags Qiddiya City and Aquarabia.
This role is a practical, workshop-led position requiring a highly skilled all-rounder who can diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of assets - from electric show vehicles and mechanical props to the on-board playback systems and scenic elements - ensuring safe, reliable, and show-ready operation at all times.
The Supervisor will lead by example as a “roll up your sleeves” problem solver, supporting daily operations, troubleshooting issues in real time, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, functionality, and visual quality.
Key Functional Tasks:
Show Props & Scenic Maintenance
- Maintain, repair, and refurbish all hand props, scenic elements, and show set pieces
- Carry out practical repairs including:
- Gluing, bonding, and structural fixes
- Fiberglass repairs and touch-ups
- Painting and finishing
- Basic carpentry and fabrication
- Ensure all props remain show-quality and on-brand
Show Vehicles (EV Fleet) Maintenance
- Oversee maintenance of electric show vehicles including:
o Tires, brakes, steering, and mechanical systems
o Battery systems and charging infrastructure
o Safety features (horns, lights, warning systems)
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Liaise with specialist vendors when required, but own first-line diagnosis and fixes
Technical Playback & Embedded Systems
- Maintain and troubleshoot show playback systems, including:
o iPads / tablets
o Tascam / solid-state playback devices
o Basic audio signal paths and connections
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to:
o Cabling, connectors, and power supply
o Playback reliability and triggering systems
Workshop & Fabrication
- Operate as a practical workshop lead, maintaining tools, equipment, and workspace
- Support fabrication and modification of props and show elements as required
- Manage safe use of tools (hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, etc.)
Operational Support
- Attend rehearsals, technical run-throughs, and live performances as required to observe how hand props are used in practice
- Identify potential wear, damage risks, or handling issues arising from performer use and staging
- Implement practical solutions to improve prop durability and longevity, including reinforcement, protective finishes, and handling adjustments
- Develop and introduce appropriate on-stage and backstage storage solutions to protect props during use and between performances
- Provide on-the-spot troubleshooting and emergency repairs during rehearsals and live operations as required
Special Events
- Coordinate prop preparation, installation, removal, and storage for shows and special events
Daily excellence
- Ensure all props are maintained to required artistic, operational, and safety standards.
Requirements
Knowledge & Experience;
Minimum 3–5 years’ hands-on experience in:
- Theme parks, live entertainment, events, or similar environments
Strong practical experience across multiple disciplines:
- Mechanical repair
- Basic electrical systems
- Scenic/prop fabrication
- Technical troubleshooting
Experience working with:
- Show props and scenic elements
- Vehicles or moving assets (preferred)
- Playback or show control systems (basic level)
Understanding of live entertainment production processes and backstage operations.
Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Education & Certifications:
Strong problem-solving mindset – able to diagnose and fix issues quickly
Confident with tools and hands-on repair work
Practical knowledge of:
- Carpentry
- Painting & finishing
- Fiberglass repair
- Basic electrics & soldering
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Calm under pressure during live operations
High attention to detail and safety
