Role Purpose

The Supervisor, Engineering Commercial is responsible for managing commercial aspects and supplier engagement within the Maintenance & Engineering department. This includes sourcing, evaluating, and contracting with suppliers for aircraft maintenance, components repairs & material supplies, store & logistics and technical services to ensure value, performance, and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct sourcing and evaluation of maintenance & engineering related suppliers
  • Lead RFP, RFQ and contract terms negotiations to optimize cost, service level, and quality
  • Maintain supplier database, contract records, and performance tracking reports
  • Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with maintenance & engineering, procurement, and legal teams to draft, review, and approve contracts
  • Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers, pricing trends, and cost-saving opportunities
  • Ensure supplier compliance with aviation regulations (e.g. EASA, FAA, HKCAD) and company quality standards
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for engineering commercials
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and contract management functions
  • Handle ad-hoc projects assigned by management

The Ideal Candidate

  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years’ relevant working experiences in airline engineering, procurement, MRO, or aviation related field
  • Understanding of sourcing, tendering, and contract administration processes
  • Negotiation, supplier management, problem solving, effective coordination and communication skills
  • Team-oriented mindset with Analytical and stakeholder management abilities
  • Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic industry environment
  • Familiar with SGHA framework, regulatory and quality requirements in the aviation industry will be an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Good command of written and spoken English & Chinese, Mandarin is preferred
