UT Southwestern is seeking an experienced Supervisor of Elevator Maintenance to lead the Elevator Shop team and oversee the maintenance, inspection, and repair of elevator and vertical transportation systems across our Dallas campus. As Supervisor of Elevator Maintenance, you will supervise skilled mechanics, coordinate contractors, ensure regulatory and safety compliance, and minimize equipment downtime to support critical patient care and campus operations; perform hands-on maintenance, inspection, and repair of elevator systems duties often.
We are looking for someone with:
Ten (10+) plus years of journeyman-level elevator maintenance, inspection, and repair experience
Demonstrated supervisory/management experience
Extensive knowledge of elevator systems, including relay logic and microprocessor controls
Active CET/CETS, IUEC, or QEI national trade credential(s).
Active Texas Driver License
Strong knowledge of Texas TDLR and ASME A17.1 safety standards.
Knowledge of hospital safety compliance standards (such as CMS, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc.)
Experience with CMMS, lockout/tagout, electrical safety, fall protection, and confined-space procedures
Effective computer and electronic skills.
Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred.
Work Location Dallas Campus, with travel to other UTSW locations as needed.
Shift Requirement 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday; emergency response and after-hours support may be required for critical equipment failures.
