We are looking for Supervisor – Electrification

You’ll make a difference by

  • Role would involve supervision of the maintenance operations of REL Equipment
  • Responsibilities would be diverse and crucial to ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of REL Equipment
  • Combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency
  • Relevant experience in REL Equipment maintenance and repair, with progressively increasing responsibility
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software tools.
  • Maintenance Planning and execution: Responsible for developing and implementing maintenance schedules and plans for REL Equipment. This involves coordinating routine maintenance, preventive maintenance, and major repairs to keep the REL Equipment in optimal condition.
  • Team Management: Lead a team of maintenance technicians, mechanics, and support staff, includes training, and evaluating team members to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Safety Compliance: REL Equipment maintenance involves working with high to medium voltage of electricity. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and implementing safety protocols is essential to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Equipment and Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for maintenance tasks. Maintaining adequate stock levels and ensuring the availability of critical components is crucial to minimizing downtime.
  • Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Regularly track and analyze REL Equipment performance metrics to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement. Data-driven decision-making will help optimize maintenance processes and reduce downtime.
  • Maintenance Records and Documentation: Keeping accurate maintenance records and documentation is vital for regulatory compliance and historical reference. Ensure that all maintenance activities are documented properly.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments, such as operations, engineering, and procurement, to ensure effective communication and smooth workflow.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance maintenance processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining or improving the quality of service.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and guidelines related to REL Equipment maintenance and safety.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle emergencies and unexpected breakdowns, providing prompt and effective response and resolution.
  • Environmental Responsibility: Implement and oversee environmentally friendly practices and compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Vendor and Contractor Management: Work with external vendors and contractors as needed for specialized maintenance tasks or services.
  • Reporting: Regularly providing reports and updates to higher management about maintenance activities, costs, and performance metrics is an integral part of this role

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor of Engineering/Diploma in Engineering Degree in Electrical/Electronics discipline or its equivalent.
  • Possesses more than or equal to 5 years of experience in REL domain preferably in metro rail projects operating with third rail mechanism.
  • Must have competency in Maintenance and Troubleshooting Electric REL Equipment.
  • Good knowledge of IT systems.
  • Excellent communicator, both written and oral.
  • People Management experience with strong leadership skills
  • Well versed in REL Equipment Maintenance Strategy
  • Must have managed a small team of 4-10 people
  • Technical knowledge of REL Equipment and maintenance processes,
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work effectively under pressure
