This role is onsite M-F. **No Relocation**

You will execute warehouse operations in term of service, cost, health and safety, quality, food defense, sustainability, legal requirements and policies compliance. You will also work collaboratively with key internal and external (third-party logistics vendors) business partners to ensure effective management, timely solutions and execution. You will also be responsible for activities such as inventory management (iDoc management, stock reconciliation), interfaces monitoring, track and trace, claims management, invoice management, compliance execution (HSE, quality, risk management), tenders support, third-party performance management, pallets management.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • The Supervisor, DSD Delivery role is a front-line leadership role that is responsible for the day-to-day tactical execution of branch operations and its broader CS&L strategies in relation to our delivery business.
  • The Supervisor, DSD Delivery, is responsible for effectively driving execution against all core Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Additional responsibilities: Being directly engaged with the delivery drivers – providing ongoing coaching, working with customers, and managing the standard work processes for Delivery Pillar, while optimizing service and ensuring cost management.
  • The Supervisor, DSD Delivery will be responsible for Driver Methods supporting the first level of Daily Management System meeting in the field. Scheduling routes, completing ride-along, and ensuring compliance with FMCSA Rules and Regulations (Hours of service, DOT breaks, etc.)
  • KPI's: Delivery Labor Budget and financial Acumen, Delivery efficiencies, Overtime%, Driver Methods %, Driver performance and management, Routing and Compliance, FMCSA Rules and Regulations Compliance, Electronic Logging Device (ELD) Compliance.
  • Secondary KPIs: Electronic Proof of Delivery (ePOD) %, Pre and Post trip compliance, % Handheld usage, On Time Delivery, Indirect hours (non-productive).

Manage daily plans including order/route management, employee performance, and daily communication with internal/external customers and stakeholders.

Drive KPIs under main categories of (1) Safety, (2) Service, (3) Savings, and (4) People

Safety: Promote safety culture. Responsible for driving plans that reduce branch incident/accident rates, ensuring a successful roadside inspection, holding DMS meetings, ensuring effective and compliant pre-and post-trip inspections, conducting a successful branch and cross-dock safety audit.

Service: Responsible for ensuring delivery efficiencies with accurate order fulfillments (Target TQA / Wal-Mart ASN order accuracy reports), route compliance, and on-time deliveries at the store level. Participates in cross-functional meetings with Demand/Fulfillment Planning, Retail Teams, Customers Teams, and Headquarters Support including but not limited to Leadership Planning Team meetings, District Sales meetings, etc.

Savings: Responsible for Delivery Labor Budget and financial acumen.

Responsible for completing payroll approvals (INFOR) for all direct reports in a timely manner. Driving lowest cost per case in delivery operations by executing against annual productivity plans, Lean Six Sigma/productivity projects, maintaining the loss prevention network regarding waste, and employee performance management, etc.

Identify supply chain opportunities and ensure issues are addressed in strategic and tactical manner.

Functional / Technical Competencies Needed HSE Essentials & Safety (Personal Process & Vehicle) Warehouse & Transportation Operations Business Partnering Customer Centricity Order to Bill Understand and participate in the continuous improvement programs that reduce cost and our carbon footprint and improve the service performance of the operation.

People Interview, onboard, and develop direct reports/core team in multiple formats (classroom, On the Job Training, Work-with, etc..) across entire Delivery operations. Coach direct reports to create and execute development plans and support individual career goals. Manage and engage with local hourly.

  • Leadership and Team Management: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop Core Teams. Strong skills in delegation, performance management, and team engagement.
  • Organizational Skills: Proficient in Route Planning, scheduling and workload management. Safety and Compliance: Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to enforce and model adherence to safety protocols. Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze delivery metrics and optimize performance.
  • Proficient in interpreting data to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Business Acumen: Understanding of the Consumer-Packaged goods (CPG) industry.

Salary and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $77,600 to $106,700; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
