Job Description

Supervisor Diagnostic Imaging at Providence St. Joseph Hospital Eureka, CA. This position is full time and will work 10-hour, Day shifts.

Under general direction by the Area Director and Area Imaging Manager, and in collaboration with the Medical Director of Radiology, staff radiologists, and other members of the medical staff, the Imagin Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the department and assists the Director and Manager with those management functions for which the Director is accountable. The Imaging Supervisor is technically and clinically competent in each licensed modality for all ages served: infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Demonstrates and adheres to department standards and serves as an administrative and clinical resource for department staff. Clinical and technical responsibilities account worked hours as needed. Serves as a customer service representative to patients, their families, the public, the medical staff and all caregivers. Participates in quality assurance and organizational improvement activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of a program in any imaging modality approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association.
  • Upon hire: California Diagnostic Radiologic Technology Certification or
    • Upon hire: California Fluoroscopy Certificate/Permit or
    • Upon hire: California Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification or
    • Upon hire: California Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification or
    • Upon hire: California Limited Permit X-Ray Technician.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or
    • Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • 3 years experience in an acute care/hospital imaging department.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced qualifications in at least one specialty imaging area.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
