
The UNM Department of Dental is seeking a highly motivated individual to work as a Supervisor Dental Assistant.
Minimum $25.02/hr. - Midpoint $31.27/hr.*
*Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience.
*Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.
Performs and/or oversees a variety of associated administrative, staff support, and dental assisting activities, some of which require advanced or specialized knowledge and skills. Assists in the performance of dental and radiography procedures; prepares and maintains dental equipment and supplies in accordance with established protocol, procedures, policies, and standards, and assists in the coordination of day-to-day patient administration, records management, and back office support activities. Trains and oversees lower graded staff and/or students.
Minimum Job Requirements of a Supervisor Dental Assistant:
High school diploma or GED, Dental Assistant certificate from an accredited program, 5years of directly related experience, current Certified State of New Mexico radiology license required. Completed degree from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Verification of education and licensure will be required if selected for hire.
