Job Description

CooperSurgical is a globally provider of more than 600 products, each with a focus on improving the health of women, babies and families additionally is a Premier Provider of Medical Devices, Fertility and Genomics Solutions.

This position is responsible to coordinate all manufacturing activities within production and ensure that quality and safety are practiced during the manufacturing operation. Owner of payroll process and employee development for team and Member of production transfer and validation project team.

  1. Manages all manufacturing activities for assigned production cells.

  2. Monitors and adjusts staffing to support daily production requirements. Works with Planning to ensure long term capacity.

  3. Develops and applies metrics to measure individual and department performance.

  4. Manages and develops Cell Leaders to a higher level of performance.

  5. Responsible for shift personnel development, including coaching, training and performance appraisal. Assists with hiring and onboarding process.

  6. Manages all employee relations issues with Human Resources and Management to ensure company policies are being followed.

  7. Manages quality, cost, and schedules to ensure internal and external customers' requirements are being met.

  8. Troubleshoots process problems. Coordinates with technicians and engineer corrective and preventive maintenance. Is expected to be able to run all production equipment

  9. Identify opportunities for improvement and work with management to implement process improvements.

  10. Manages payroll activities for all production employees in Kronos. Solves all first level questions regarding salary.

  11. Identifies and addresses manufacturing issues as they occur on the line.

  12. Responsible for assisting in the transfer of both equipment and operator knowledge.

  13. Responsible for assisting in the production transfer validation process.

  14. Responsible for developing training processes and metrics for monitoring operator development.

  15. Coordinates break schedules in accordance with production needs and cafeteria availability

  16. Performs additional duties or assignments as required by management.

  17. Promotes a positive work environment in alignment with CooperSurgical mission, vision and values. Applies disciplinary actions as needed.

At least two years of supervisory experience in manufacturing environment

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering.

  2. Detail oriented and well-organized self-starter with good analytical skills.

  3. Excellent English oral and written communication skills, including computer literacy using spreadsheets and presentation software.

  4. Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.

  5. Experience in delivering training with good presentation skills.

  6. Passing of background check, which may include verification of prior employment, criminal conviction history, educational and driving records.

  7. Experience and training in Lean Manufacturing is preferred.

  8. Ability to travel to the United States for training and development in current operations.
