Job Description

The UCIM/ITRM/TTLM Software Application Supervisor is responsible for the software application delivery of the UCIM and trailer tow modules and derivatives to vehicle programs. The Supervisor primarily partners with the internal Body Controls core software team along with full-service body module suppliers to develop and deliver this software.

  • Manage an application engineering team responsible for delivering UCIM/ITRM/TTLM modules for vehicle programs
  • Champion delivery of GPDS deliverables per milestone for UCIM/ITRM/TTLM modules for applicable vehicle programs
  • Champion End to End Software Delivery and system integration for UCIM/ITRM/TTLM, including technical execution, meeting deadlines and adhering to program requirements.
  • Oversee full service supplier program management, including overall program delivery timing and issue resolution
  • Evaluate program definition and work with feature and functional teams to determine requirements
  • Oversee Statement of Work/RFQ package completion
  • Lead Design Reviews with interfacing Ford activities
  • Oversee L2/L3 validation through Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT) on each Software release
  • Oversee JIRA dashboards and facilitate closure of issues
  • Champion resolution of warranty issues
  • Facilitate communication between Body Controls and interfacing activities at program, platform and functional areas as needed to support program deliverables.
  • Cultivate innovation and improvement, promote a team environment that fosters innovation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

Skills Required
· Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years experience of leading and mentoring teams in technical situations.
• 2+ years experience with Software D/R tools and processes (JIRA, JAMA, FEDE, VSEM, IVS, AIMS, WERS, SWAD)
• Proactive and driven by results and customer focus approach.
• Self-organization skills to handle and prioritize competing priorities.
• Ability to delegate effectively & strong follow-up skills.
• Strong Teamwork skills: manage and operate independently but with alignment and coordination with cross-functional teams.
· Strong knowledge of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering and functional specifications.
Skills Preferred
· M.S. in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering.
· Experience with Software program management
· Six-sigma applied data driven mindset.
· Continuous improvement and innovative mindset.
