As Team Leader, Automotive Antenna Design, you will be responsible for the technical and managerial leadership of a development team specializing in automotive antenna and high-frequency systems. You will coordinate the development of antenna solutions for modern vehicle applications and ensure that technical, quality, schedule, and cost-related project goals are met.
This position is intended for experienced development engineers with some leadership experience or a strong willingness to take the next step into a leadership role.

What You Will Do
•Technical and managerial leadership of a team of antenna, high-frequency, and simulation engineers
•Planning, coordinating, and prioritizing development tasks within the team
•Development, simulation, and optimization of automotive antenna systems
•Technical responsibility for antenna solutions, for example for:
oMobile communications and 5G
oGNSS
oWi-Fi and Bluetooth
oV2X
oUWB
oRadio and broadcast reception
oKeyless entry and access systems
•Evaluation and optimization of antenna performance, taking into account the installation situation within the entire vehicle
•Coordination of antenna concepts with vehicle manufacturers, system suppliers, and internal departments
•Supporting development from the concept phase through prototyping and validation to series production approval
•Coordinating electromagnetic simulations as well as antenna and vehicle measurements
•Evaluating measurement results, deviations, and technical risks
•Assisting with failure analyses and the development of appropriate corrective measures
•Ensuring compliance with customer requirements, legal regulations, and relevant automotive standards
•Responsibility for technical documentation, as well as for design reviews and approval processes
•Collaboration on effort estimates, resource planning, and project cost estimates
•Supporting and fostering the professional development of team members
•Continuous improvement of development processes, simulation methods, and measurement procedures
•Monitoring technological developments in the field of vehicle communication and antenna technology
•Close coordination with team leaders from the U.S. and Europe
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
•Master’s degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering, high-frequency engineering, physics, or a comparable field
•Years of professional experience in the development of antenna or high-frequency systems
•Ideally, experience in the automotive sector or in collaborating with vehicle manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers
•Initial technical or disciplinary leadership experience, for example as a subproject manager, technical project manager, or technical coordinator
•Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools, such as:
oCST Studio Suite
oAnsys HFSS
oand experience with other simulation tools, such as Optenni, is a plus
•Experience with RF measurement technology, network analyzers, antenna test chambers, and over-the-air measurements
•Knowledge of integrating antennas into vehicle components and complete vehicles
•Knowledge of automotive development and quality processes, such as:
oIATF 16949
oFMEA
oAPQP
oChange and approval management
•Good written and spoken English skills
