Position Summary

SOAR365 is seeking a Supervisor, Adult Day & Respite Programs to oversee the daily operations, staff, and service delivery of our Adult Day Support and Respite programs. This position provides leadership to Direct Support Professionals and Lead Direct Support Professionals while ensuring high-quality, person-centered services for adults with disabilities.

The Supervisor is responsible for program development, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, documentation oversight, participant engagement, family communication, and operational management. This role plays a critical part in ensuring individuals receive meaningful services that promote independence, community inclusion, dignity, and quality of life.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership & Staff Management

  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, and develop program staff.
  • Supervise and coach Direct Support Professionals and Lead Direct Support Professionals.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and corrective coaching as needed.
  • Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate program coverage.
  • Monitor staff compliance with required certifications and training, including CPR, First Aid, Therapeutic Options, and Medication Administration.

Program Operations

  • Oversee daily operations of Adult Day and Respite programs.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor meaningful, age-appropriate activities and community-based experiences.
  • Ensure services are delivered in accordance with participant goals, individualized service plans, and person-centered practices.
  • Coordinate special events, community outings, and enrichment opportunities.
  • Provide direct support and program coverage when necessary.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with Medicaid Waiver requirements, licensing regulations, agency policies, HIPAA standards, and Human Rights regulations.
  • Audit participant documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and billing readiness.
  • Oversee incident reporting and ensure timely follow-up and corrective action.
  • Monitor participant records and service documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Family & Community Engagement

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with participants, families, case managers, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in referral, intake, and program admission processes.
  • Promote community partnerships that enhance participant opportunities and program growth.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Manage program budgets, supplies, and purchasing activities.
  • Review and approve staff time and attendance records.
  • Prepare reports and maintain required operational and compliance records.
  • Identify opportunities for program improvement and implement effective solutions.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in human services, disability services, rehabilitation, healthcare, education, or a related field.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining compliance standards.
  • Ability to obtain Medication Administration certification within 60 days of hire.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Rehabilitation, Psychology, Special Education, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with Medicaid Waiver services and documentation requirements.
  • Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Valid Virginia Driver's License and acceptable driving record.

Schedule

  • Full-Time
  • Monday-Friday, generally 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required to support respite programming, special events, staff coverage, or participant activities.
