Job Description

Job Shift: Full TimeReporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position is responsible for the supervision and day to day operations of accounts payable and receivable process, management of the overall credit process to include credit investigation, analysis of credit applications and making credit recommendations, dealing with delinquencies, and bad debt control.
- Oversee and verify all processes related to collection of receivables and expenditure of funds to include  reviewing and reconciling accounts as necessary.
- Responsible to coordinate and direct all processes related to collection of receivables and expenditure of funds to include:
- - reviewing and reconciling accounts as necessary.
- - reviewing AP reserve batches
- - approving vendor maintenance forms
- - reconciling various AR/AP transactions to the GL
- - overseeing vendor setup and check printing
- - overseeing the AR cash applications backlog
- Handles publisher/vendor and customer issues when necessary, serving as mediator of escalated issues that staff can not resolve.
- Gather information and prepare reports of receipts and expenditures and other information for management as needed or requested to include working with and providing data to auditor. Provides auditors with canned Oracle reports such as the posted payment register, receipts register, AR trial balance, etc. Delegates additional audit requests to staff as needed and appropriate.
- Responsible for month-end and year-end accounting procedures including preparation and entry of journal entries for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and completes or oversees reconciliations that verify the accuracy of these entries.
- Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit to clients.
- Help the staff to ensure that policies and procedures comply with the departmental standards and also provide the support to them in the work.
- Accountable for ensuring the completion of credit transactions.
- Maintain and gather information on deposit and loan products, payment services, and regulations and procedures.
- Process and gather information as needed to establish credit accounts for Brodart to expedite the transaction of business.
- Handle collection of past due amounts and assess possible financial exposures of transactions and refer delinquent accounts to collections agencies, as appropriate, monitoring their efforts as needed.
- File purging.
- Directly and indirectly supervise accounting personnel and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- - interviewing, hiring, and training employees
- - planning, delegating, assigning and directing work
- - administering company time and attendance policies, monitoring, coaching, and appraising performance
- - rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of three years of experience and/or equivalent combination of education or experience.
- Proficient in the use of personal computer systems and programs including Microsoft Office and Manman.
- Effective writing and communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must have extensive knowledge in financial procedures and local laws.
- Needs the ability to function as a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Must possess strong sense of integrity, a strong work ethic, and demonstrate excellent analytical skills.
- Normal office environment, close and distant vision, using hands and fingers to handle and feel, talk and hear, sitting, lifting up to 10 lbs. frequently.  Standing and walking, lifting up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
