Recycling Supervisor | Widemere Recycling Plant

At Boral, safety is at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Recycling Supervisor to lead our Recycling Operations team at our Widemere Recycling Plant. In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the facility, driving a strong safety culture while ensuring operational performance, environmental compliance, product quality, and continuous improvement initiatives are achieved.

Working closely with site leadership and operational teams, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality recycled products that meet Australian Standards, customer expectations, and Boral's commitment to sustainable resource recovery.

Key Duties

  • Champion and lead a proactive safety culture, promoting safe behaviours and ensuring compliance with all safety requirements
  • Manage daily recycling operations to achieve production, quality, cost, and performance targets in line with budgets and forecasts
  • Lead, coach and develop site personnel, fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment
  • Ensure all plant activities comply with relevant licences, approvals, environmental obligations, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair activities to maximise plant reliability and operational efficiency
  • Monitor maintenance expenditure and identify opportunities to improve asset performance and reduce costs
  • Deliver high-quality recycled products that consistently meet customer expectations and relevant industry standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, operational performance, quality, and sustainability outcomes
  • Support environmental compliance through the effective implementation of environmental management systems, processes, and behaviours

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven leadership experience supervising operational teams within a manufacturing, recycling, quarrying, waste management, or heavy industrial environment
  • Strong commitment to safety leadership, employee engagement, and workforce development
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational performance while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance
  • Experience managing plant maintenance activities and improving equipment reliability
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and implement practical solutions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build positive working relationships
  • Experience within the recycling, resource recovery, construction materials, or related industries will be highly regarded
