Job Description

Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.

Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!

Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.

Where and how you can work

Our Sydney office is a hub for collaboration and energy. But we also believe in working where you do your best thinking. Canva offers flexibility to work in a way that suits you, whether that's hybrid, or in-office.

What you’d be doing in this role

Post production at Canva moves fast and spans the globe. As our Supervising Post Producer, you'll be the operational backbone of the Marketing Creative Production team, keeping thousands of assets organised and editors unblocked while constantly looking for smarter ways to work.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Owning our asset systems end-to-end: designing and maintaining filing structures, naming conventions, content archiving, and organisational workflows that work at serious scale
  • Being the person who keeps everything running when thousands of assets arrive from all corners of the globe simultaneously — nothing gets lost, nothing falls through the cracks
  • Preparing projects for editors so they can start cutting immediately: organising media, syncing footage, prepping sequences, managing hard drives and cloud data workflows
  • Leading a team of content administrators, setting the standard for how our global dispatch systems run and keeping the bar high on efficiency, accuracy, and deadline delivery
  • Staying ahead of the tools: managing software subscriptions and licences, evaluating new platforms, and actively implementing ideas that could future-proof how we work
  • Diving into AI-powered workflows for content creation and production, not just exploring what's possible but actually building and rolling out improvements
  • Jumping in and editing across platforms and formats when the project demands it
  • Collaborating with third-party vendors including colour graders and graphics compositors, making sure external partners have what they need and handoffs are seamless
  • Troubleshooting technical issues as they come up and working autonomously through high-volume periods without losing quality or composure

You're probably a match if

  • You have deep, hands-on experience across the full post production ecosystem — Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, Iconik, Lucidlink, MASV, Cavalry, Affinity, and similar tools are all in your wheelhouse
  • You understand codecs, colour spaces, file formats, colour pipelines, storage systems, and delivery specifications, and you can diagnose and fix technical issues quickly without needing to escalate everything
  • You've built and managed large-scale asset systems before: filing structures, naming conventions, media management workflows — the kind of systems that hold up when volume spikes and the team is counting on them
  • You can edit competently across platforms and formats, and you're comfortable jumping into a cut when the team needs an extra pair of hands
  • You've worked with third-party post production vendors, whether that's colour graders, compositors, or other specialists, and you know how to keep those relationships and handoffs running smoothly
  • You're methodical about data and asset management but also genuinely forward-thinking about emerging technology, particularly AI, and you have experience actually implementing new workflows, not just researching them
  • You're self-motivated and thrive working autonomously, you communicate clearly, and you don't lose your head when high-volume periods hit
  • You're the kind of person who looks at a broken process and immediately starts thinking about how to fix it, and then actually does

About Canva

We're a global online visual communications platform on a mission to empower the world to design. Featuring a simple drag-and-drop user interface and a vast range of templates ranging from presentations, documents, websites, social media graphics, posters, apparel to videos, plus a huge library of fonts, stock photography, illustrations, video footage, and audio clips, anyone can take an idea and create something beautiful on Canva on any device, from anywhere in the world.

Since our launch in 2013, we’ve had the crazy big goal of making design accessible to everyone. We were founded on the belief that people shouldn't need to understand complex software to unlock their creativity. We’re leveling the playing field and democratizing access to design and visual communication by empowering 100% of the world to communicate in a way that was once limited to the 1%.

We've always had a deeper mission surrounding Canva — which we talk about as our 'simple' two-step plan: to build one of the world’s most valuable companies, and to do the most good we possibly can. We're committed to our core value of Being a Force for Good, so as the value of our company grows, so too does our ability to have a positive impact on the world.
