Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is recruiting for Supervising Phlebotomist to supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations of phlebotomy services. Plans, directs, and evaluates the work of Phlebotomists and Phlebotomist Trainees; provides technical guidance and training; coordinates phlebotomy workload and processes with other departments; and ensures compliance with established procedures, safety standards, infection control practices, and hospital requirements. Performs and oversees blood collection procedures and assists with resolving operational and patient service issues.

Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Pre-employment Process: Incumbents must pass a background investigation, which includes verification of employment history and education, in addition to, a physical exam and TB test.
Work Schedule: Incumbents must be available to work 8-hour shifts, variable shifts, weekends, and holidays. Indicate your availability on the supplemental application.

Certification: Must possess and maintain a current State of California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT-1 or CPT-2) license with the Department of Public Health.
Experience: Eighteen (18) months performing venipuncture in a medical environment.
The department seeks candidates who are able to adapt to changes in assignments/schedules and priorities in a positive manner.
Candidates must possess excellent communication skills while working with patients and explaining the phlebotomy process.
