Objective of the position:
Manage and coordinate the production schedule, ensuring compliance with the organization's established standards for safety, quality, cost, delivery, internal control, and ethical conduct. This is done under the principles of Simpler, Faster, Stronger

Main Functions:

  • Identify risks within the company’s business operations; develop and implement programs to mitigate.Perform accident and incident investigations and recommend appropriate corrective actions.Provide follow-up to action plans from audits, self-inspections, and accident/incident investigations.Support EHS management requirements on report writing, statistical analysis and incident & accident trend studies.

  • Communication: The production Supervisor is responsible for daily communications with the OU and SU employees. Daily, clear expectations are to be flowed down to Team Leades via work assignment reports, metrics boards, etc. The production Supervisor is responsible for managing pass-downs between shifts to ensure the shop runs without undue interruptions.
  • Supervisor to ensure On Time Delivery meets or exceeds our internal metrics. Issues with scheduling, capacity and lead times shall be dealt with quickly and late or "at risk" jobs will be communicated to customer at the earliest opportunity.
  • Promote Quality: The production Supervisor shall set the example to manufacturing for what quality is in Daimler. They shall conform to and work to improve our quality management system.
    Problem Solving and Decision Making: Identifies and understands issues, problems and opportunities; uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions.
  • Growth and Training: The production Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a cross functional team via the cross training program. They are responsible for executing Team Leaders and Team Members selections of candidates who can perform at high levels throughout the organization and afford them the tools and training to be successful.
  • Execute the initiatives of the organization in the development, implementation and improvement of the CI system, with all the documentation, tools, and metrics required.
    Analyze key metrics related to the Balanced Scorecard (relevant to the position) and perform periodical reviews to evaluate results and recommend action plans to close the gaps at an operational leve
  • Leading global diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) strategies, programs, and initiatives that enhance the company’s DE&I presence across team member populations..
