The Family & Children’s Center in Winona, MN is looking for compassionate, reliable and motivated individuals to join us as Part-Time Supervised Visitation/Tracking Monitors. - Variety of Responsibilities: Your day may consist of transporting children to and from visits, interacting with families, tracking juvenile and adult clients by phone or unannounced visits, performing breathalyzer tests and urine analyses, attending training sessions, and/or completing documentation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Transportation of children to and from visits in accordance with applicable laws & agency policies as required for case.
- Supervising visits between non-custodial parents and their children.

- - Maintain a high level of safety for all visits.

- - Report any alleged or suspected child abuse and/or neglect in accordance with program policies.

- - Effective communication with all visit participants and involved parties.

- - Ability to intervene or end visits if parent’s behavior is deemed inappropriate.

- - Ensure participants are following the rules of the visits.

- - Communicate any concerns with the case manager and supervisor.

- - Follow all policies and procedures required by the program to safely supervise visits and/or exchanges.

- Complete face to face or phone checks of clients in their home, community, or school setting as scheduled.
- Perform Breathalyzer Test and Urine Analysis as directed by supervisor.
- Complete documentation of performed services and submit within the expect timeframe.
- Participate in all required trainings set forth by the program for all services provided, such as monitoring, tracking, testing, etc.
- Maintain regular and reliable level of attendance and timeliness necessary to perform job responsibilities, including regularly attending staff meetings.
- Perform all other duties as deemed necessary by supervisor to effectively fulfill job responsibilities.
QualificationsWhat are we looking for?
- Supervised Visitation Monitors MUST be at least 20 years old and have a valid driver's license.
- High School diploma or GED required. A bachelor’s degree or associates degree, or pursuing a degree, in human services or a related field preferred. Relevant experience may compensate for education.
- Ability to work effectively and non-defensively with a variety of personalities.
- Awareness and sensitivity to the diversity of clients, co- workers, and other persons in the performance of the job duties.
- Specialized training or experience working with domestic violence cases and child protection cases (not required but preferred).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and some holidays.
- Must be comfortable with using a computer to complete documentation.
- The daily work of a Monitor is performed in a variety of settings, indoor and outdoor. Must be willing to work in all weather conditions and indoor environments.
- Comfortability with transporting children, lifting/carrying infants and toddlers, and using car and booster seats is essential. It doesn't hurt to have a few fun children's songs memorized and an age-appropriate playlist ready to go!
