Superintendent – Public Works / Education Projects

Compensation: DOE (Depends on Experience)

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee field operations on public works and educational construction projects throughout Southern Nevada. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day jobsite activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong commercial construction experience and the ability to coordinate subcontractors, maintain project schedules, and lead field operations effectively in fast-paced construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily jobsite construction activities from project startup through completion
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and self-perform crews to ensure project milestones are achieved
• Maintain project schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely completion
• Conduct weekly subcontractor coordination meetings
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and project specifications
• Review RFIs, change conditions, delays, and field issues as they arise
• Communicate regularly with Project Managers and project teams regarding project status and updates
• Monitor quality control and enforce jobsite standards
• Assist with site logistics planning and sequencing of work
• Track production and help maintain labor efficiency
• Support project closeout activities and punch list completion
• Maintain professional communication with inspectors, consultants, owners, and project stakeholders
• Promote a safe, organized, and productive jobsite environment

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of Superintendent experience with a Commercial General Contractor
• Experience with public works, educational, municipal, healthcare, aviation, or commercial construction projects preferred
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and field operations
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and maintaining project schedules
• Experience with Procore, P6, e-Builder, or similar construction software preferred
• Knowledge of MEP systems, structural concrete, underground utilities, and site coordination preferred
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction schedules
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Commitment to workplace safety and OSHA compliance

Work Environment

This role requires working onsite at active construction projects and may involve outdoor conditions, elevated noise levels, and physically demanding environments typical of commercial construction sites.
