Located on the tropical Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, GEMCO is an open-cut mine that is accountable for over 20% of the world’s manganese ore production. Groote Eylandt is home to the Anindilyakwa people, who are the traditional owners of the land and have been working alongside GEMCO since 1963
WHAT SOUTH32 OFFERS
This is a permanent full-time position on a 4:3 (Monday to Thursday) roster FIFO from Darwin or Cairns.
Domestic relocation to Darwin, or Cairns from anywhere in Australia is provided.
As the Superintendent Mining Systems & Improvement you will be responsible for leading the Mine Monitoring and Control function to optimise safety, production, equipment utilisation and operational performance, while partnering across Mining, Planning, Maintenance and Technical Services to support delivery of the mine plan, budget and business objectives.
