The Superintendent - Mobile Maintenance (Mining, AHS Hauling) is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of all mobile equipment maintenance activities, including autonomous haul trucks, support equipment, and ancillary mining fleets. This role ensures the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of mining assets while supporting production objectives and autonomous haulage system (AHS) performance.
The Superintendent leads a high-performing team of supervisors, planners, technicians, and contractors, fostering a culture of zero harm, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include developing and executing maintenance strategies, driving equipment reliability and availability, managing budgets and resources, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting workforce development.
This position works closely with operations, engineering, OEM representatives, technology groups, and AHS vendors to optimize fleet performance, improve maintenance processes, and advance digital and reliability initiatives. Superintendent is accountable for ensuring compliance with MSHA regulations, ISO standards, site safety requirements, and AHS protocols while utilizing data-driven decision-making to enhance operational performance, reduce downtime, and support the site's long-term business objectives.
