Superintendent - Ground-Up Commercial Construction - Base Salary to 125k/year - Fauquier County, VA

Our client is a commercial general contractor seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee ground-up commercial building projects in the Fauquier County, Virginia area.

The position requires 5+ years of ground-up commercial construction superintendent experience, field supervision, subcontractor management, construction scheduling, and proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily jobsite operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to meet construction schedules, budgets, safety requirements, and quality standards
• Prepare and update three-week lookahead schedules, coordinate trade sequencing, and plan labor, materials, and equipment requirements
• Implement site-specific safety programs and monitor compliance with OSHA requirements
• Maintain daily construction logs, requests for information (RFIs), as-built drawings, and project closeout records
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to verify compliance with contract requirements and applicable building codes
• Conduct construction progress inspections, identify installation deficiencies, and manage punch lists through completion
• Coordinate field activities and project updates with owners and project managers
• Identify construction conflicts, schedule impacts, and site conditions requiring corrective action
• Perform field inspections involving extended walking and standing, roof access and work at height, and lifting up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent overseeing ground-up commercial construction projects
• Experience managing construction means and methods, field operations, subcontractors, and trade sequencing
• Experience preparing construction schedules and three-week lookahead schedules
• Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Project (MS Project), Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
• Experience implementing jobsite safety requirements and monitoring OSHA compliance
• Experience interpreting construction plans, specifications, and scopes of work
• Experience maintaining daily logs, RFIs, as-built drawings, punch lists, and project closeout documentation
• OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications, or ability to obtain these certifications promptly
